Hot Honey Tea
/It has survived through numerous decades: hot honey tea, the homemade soother for adult and pediatric nagging coughs, snotty noses, and sore scratchy throats. Many versions exist; but, the standard three ingredients remain: lemon juice, honey, and hot water.
Add ginger, actual tea leaves, essential oils (lavender, chamomile, peppermint), and even a sprinkle of cayenne. Adults have been known (my grandmother...oh heck...and even myself) to add a splash of whiskey or bourbon.
