Beat the Summer Heat
/According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), 17% of our nation's children aged 2 to 19 years old are obese. And unfortunately, obesity can lead to numerous health problems and carry over into adulthood. Health problems due to obesity can be cured. Choose to get your kiddos moving and eating healthy!
The CDC also states that our youth need at least 60 minutes of physical activity each and everyday. Yes, you heard it: 60 minutes. Turn off the media devices and play! Physical activity for kids doesn't have to mean getting them into organized sports or fitness classes. Activity can be as simple as turn on the water sprinkler and letting them run around until they prune up :)
